Try it together

  1. Sit face to face, with a little space between you.
  2. Hide your own eyes with your hands, then open them and say a gentle “hello!”
  3. Wait for a look, sound, or gesture before trying again.

Follow their little lead.

Keep it predictable and gentle. If your child turns away or seems unsure, switch to sitting quietly together.

Read the idea, then put the screen aside. You can stop whenever your child is ready.
